Peterkin's 2014 Summer Staff


Jordan Trumble is the 2014 Summer Program Coordinator and is in her second year of the Master of Divinity program at Yale Divinity School. She graduated from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 2009 with a major in religion. Jordan served as a counselor at Peterkin from 2006 to 2008 and 2011. She spent three years in the Episcopal Service Corps (one year in Los Angeles and two years in New Haven, Connecticut.) She grew up attending Peterkin and is the daughter of an Episcopal priest who worked in West Virginia.


Kirsten Dorosh is a parishioner at Trinity, Shepherdstown and attends Shepherd University where she majors in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 2010 and attended Peterkin for years. Kirsten will be serving as a lodge counselor.


Alisha Turner is a returning counselor and a student at Marshall University where she double majors in International Business and German. She is a native of Hampshire County, and worked at Peterkin in 2013 as a counselor and as a member of the kitchen staff in 2012. Alisha will be serving as a counselor and as the pottery studio manager.


Shauna McQuerrey is a parishioner at St. John's, Charleston and attends Westminster Choir College of Rider University where she is a Music Education major. She attended Peterkin for much of her life and is a 2012 graduate of St. Albans High School. Shauna will be serving as counselor and as the music coordinator.


Hayley Snoberger is a native of Keyser, West Virginia and attends West Virginia University where she majors in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She is an active member at WVU Canterbury Fellowship, which is based at Trinity, Morgantown. Hayley also worked as a Resident Advisor for a year at Potomac State College. Hayley will be serving as a lodge counselor.


Catherine Boyles is a parishioner at Christ Episcopal Church, Fairmont and studies Chemistry at the College of Wooster in Ohio. She attended Peterkin regularly and served as a Counselor in Training. She is also a member of the varsity tennis team. Catherine will be serving as a lodge counselor.


Miranda Essig is a student at James Madison University where she studies Hospitality Management. She grew up attending Peterkin, is a resident of Reston, Virginia and is active in Canterbury Fellowship at JMU. She is also interested in pottery and is a lifeguard. Miranda will be a lodge counselor.


Jonathan McQuerrey will be returning to camp for his third summer as a counselor. He attends Marshall University where he majors in Computer Science. He is a member at St. John's, Huntington, plays guitar and is a lifeguard. Jonathan will be serving as the aquatics supervisor and a lodge counselor.


Chase Bailey is a native of Wyoming County, West Virginia and attends Marshall University where he majors in Management Information Systems. He is active in Canterbury Fellowship at Marshall and previously worked on the Hatfield-McCoy Trails. Chase will be serving as a lodge counselor.


Daniel Ledford is originally from Alabama and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in 2013. He is currently in the Master of Arts in Religion program at Yale Divinity School. He spent two summers as a Summer Session Teaching Intern at the Northfield-Mount Hermon School. Daniel will be serving as a lodge counselor.


Robert Strider attends Marshall University where he majors in History and minors in Spanish. He is a lifelong Episcopalian and attends Trinity, Shepherdstown and is active in Marshall's Canterbury Fellowship. He spent a summer at Boy Scouts of America's Camp Rock Enon, another at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, and has been a Colonial re-enactor. Robert will be serving as a lodge counselor.

Other Peterkin Staff


Daisy McBride has served as Executive Director of Peterkin Camp and Conference since 2005. Daisy has served in many positions since coming to Peterkin in 1993 such as housekeeping, facilities manager, and camp administrator.


Sara Gunter is the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries for the Episcopal Diocese of West Virginia. Part of her job is supporting the work done at Peterkin by hiring and supervising staff and recruiting campers. Sara joined the Diocese of West Virginia in September 2014 after serving as the Director of Youth Ministries at All Souls Episcopal Parish in Berkeley, California. She is passionate about camp ministry and is excited to welcome staff and campers to Peterkin's camp season!
